Job summary

Stepful is hiring a Clinical Coordinator to build and lead the clinical instructor function for our nursing programs. Initially, you’ll teach two days per week in clinical or simulation settings while recruiting and developing a team of instructors.

As the team grows, you’ll focus on leading the instructor team, deepening site relationships, and running the systems that keep rotations on track. Expect up to 50% travel, primarily to Ohio and Michigan.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted compact RN license or eligible.
• Master’s degree in nursing (required for accreditation).
• 2+ years teaching clinicals in a nursing education program.
• Experience training, onboarding, or mentoring clinical instructors or preceptors.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (healthcare provider level).
• Ability to meet clinical site health and immunization requirements, including vaccines and background screening.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing schedules, documentation, and logistics across multiple sites.
• Relationship-oriented approach — working with site staff, instructors, and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical instruction and model best practices at sites.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard clinical instructors for Stepful's nursing programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clinical site partners and secure new sites.
• Manage clinical site assignments, rotations, and coverage across cohorts.
• Maintain documentation and compliance for boards of nursing and accreditation.
