Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, AZ, seeks a Hospital/Clinic Collection Manager to oversee all credit/collection functions, Insurance Collectors, AHCCCS, and department staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and payer requirements.

You will coordinate interdepartmental communications, drive A/R reduction through audits and training, hire and develop staff, monitor account resolution, and safeguard the hospital's public image while supporting patient financial services.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in Patient Accounting and one (1) year supervisory experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and billing procedures; ability to interact with the public and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain interdepartmental communications within KHI and work closely with the Billing Manager regarding issues affecting the billing staff.
• Work toward reduction of A/R days through audits and staff training.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and control systems by which patient services and demographic accounts info are developed and maintained; monitor quality and take action.
• Develop and revise job descriptions; interview, hire, and train staff to fill approved positions.
• Schedule work hours and assignments; administer policies and conduct employee appraisals.
• Provide staff development through orientation, education, and training; stay current with collections and account resolution trends.
