Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience with healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Familiarity with payer guidelines and remittance advice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR/billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional assistance to patients in person at the main campus or billing windows, handling a high volume of calls and emails to resolve billing inquiries.
• Research patient accounts by contacting insurance companies or using payer websites to verify eligibility and claim status.
• Post patient payments (cash, check, credit card) and reconcile daily cash drawers and credit card batches.
• Review accounts for accuracy of charges, adjustments, and payments, and process credits or refunds as needed.
• Support reporting, productivity tracking, and general departmental administrative tasks to meet goals.
