Qualifikationen

• Requires 5 years of experience in Patient Accounting and 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities are essential.
• Proficiency with billing processes, accounts receivable and patient communications.

Aufgaben

• Establish and maintain interdepartmental communications within KHI and coordinate with Billing Manager on billing issues.
• Aims to reduce A/R days through audits and staff training/in-services.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and control systems for patient services and demographic account data; monitor quality and take corrective actions.
• Develop and revise department job descriptions; interview, hire and onboard staff as needed.
• Utilize performance improvement methods; schedule staff to meet department needs; enforce policies and conduct appraisals.
• Provide staff development opportunities through orientation and ongoing training; stay current with collections and account resolution trends.
• Coordinate community education programs as needed; respond to physician requests and Medical Staff needs.
• Assess volumes and project future service needs; set operational goals and measure achievements annually.
• Conduct random audits of patient accounts and cash handling; coach staff and ensure insurance EOBs are processed and financial counseling aligns with payment plans.
• Develop and implement department policies and procedures.
