Job summary

The Standard is seeking a small case client manager to coordinate service delivery of group benefits to producers and customers. You will build relationships across producer, customer, home office and field offices, initiate amendments, and manage broker of record changes and caseload transfers.

You will oversee renewal lifecycles for true group cases (10-99 lives), aim for premium and retention growth, identify opportunities within your block, and support training for brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of education and/or relevant experience.
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience in employee benefits, account management, sales support, customer service, or similar role.
• Life and Disability insurance license required; license must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Broad understanding of insurance contracts, statutes, tax regulations, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to summarize or paraphrase contract language, reports and other complex subjects using plain language.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate service delivery of products and services to producers, customers, and internal partners.
• Build and maintain effective producer, customer, home office, and field office relationships.
• Initiate and deliver amendments; coordinate broker of record changes and caseload transfers.
• Manage the renewal lifecycle for true group cases of 10-99 lives and meet or exceed targets for premium and case retention and profitability.
• Identify growth opportunities within assigned block to meet or exceed block growth and contribute to sales goals.
• Manage workload; participate in training and huddles; assist less experienced peers; perform administrative tasks.
