Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years in employee benefits account management, client success, or a client-facing role, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Customer-centric mindset with strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable initiating proactive outreach and scheduling calls rather than relying on email.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of complex client accounts, including hands-on billing issue resolution.
• Familiarity with data formats like 834 and LDEx EDI files.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data analysis in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with MS Office and CRM tools.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact and relationship owner for a portfolio of clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, benefit administrators, brokers, and carriers.
• Run proactive touchpoints across the client lifecycle and coordinate communications with brokers.
• Own inbound client inquiries end-to-end — billing questions, invoice issues, and account concerns.
• Explain how benefit changes feed into billing so clients understand invoices, not just the answer.
• Lead clients through annual renewals and monitor account health for early warning signs.
