Job summary

Id-Logistics is seeking a Claims Operations Manager to own the day-to-day administration and strategic handling of U.S. claims across workers' compensation and casualty lines, including auto, general liability, property, and cargo/logistics.

Remote within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, or Philadelphia area is ideal. Travel up to 20% with a start date of 1/2027. Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus a performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business, finance, legal studies, or related field.
• 5-8 years of responsible claims experience across multi-state workers' compensation and casualty claims.
• Experience with large-deductible/self-insured programs and managing TPAs, carriers, or claims vendors.
• Ability to evaluate exposure, reserves, settlement strategy, and claim closure opportunities.
• Strong data discipline with reserves, trends, and claim data.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of U.S. non-litigated claims including WC, auto, GL, property, cargo, and other losses.
• Triage incidents, ensure timely reporting, preserve evidence, and determine handling pathways.
• Serve as first-line decision owner for routine and mid-level claims and escalate severe matters to Legal.
• Manage carrier/TPA/broker performance with clear expectations and issue escalation.
• Oversee workers' comp outcomes: compensability, treatment, nurse case management, and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Operations to gather claim info and support transitions back to work.
• Review reserves and development; seek earlier resolution or closure where possible.
• Develop settlement evaluations and coordinate negotiations with adjusters and counsel.
• Support non-WC casualty claims by evaluating coverage and recovery opportunities.
• Identify and pursue subrogation and recovery opportunities while preserving rights.
