Job summary

Venbrook Claims is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to manage a caseload of General Liability, Construction Defect, and Professional Liability claims, including complex and litigated files, from first notice of loss through resolution. This is a fully remote position; candidates in Central or Eastern time zones are strongly preferred, as most client work occurs in those regions and core hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central.

Multi-state licensing is required; New York licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial claims handling experience in GL, construction defect, and/or professional liability.
• Active multi-state adjuster license; New York license preferred; willingness to obtain others.
• TPA background strongly preferred; familiarity with client-specific handling instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of GL, construction defect, and professional liability claims from notice to resolution.
• Conduct thorough coverage analysis; issue coverage letters; apply tower/stackable structures.
• Direct outside defense counsel; monitor litigation budgets; attend mediations and depositions.
• Maintain proactive client, broker, and carrier communications; provide status updates.
• Maintain organized file documentation; ensure audit-ready diary activity.
• Identify subrogation and recovery opportunities; coordinate with subrogation team.
• Develop resolution strategies to minimize indemnity and expense.
