Placements24 is actively seeking a highly skilled Remote Civil Design Engineer specializing in Water Resources. The role focuses on designing and planning sustainable water management systems including dams, canals, pipelines, and treatment facilities.

This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa while collaborating with a distributed team of engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Hydraulics.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the design of water infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks) and CAD/BIM platforms.
• Excellent understanding of water quality, treatment processes, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and model hydraulic structures, water distribution networks, and stormwater management systems.
• Perform hydrological studies and water resource assessments using specialized software.
• Develop technical reports, design documentation, and tender packages for water infrastructure projects.
• Utilize BIM and CAD software to create detailed engineering plans and drawings.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and clients remotely.
