Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with specialization in Water Resources
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water resources engineering or related fields
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, EPANET) and GIS tools
• Knowledge of South African water legislation and environmental regulations
• Experience in dam design, pipeline networks, or water treatment plant design is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses for water supply, drainage, and flood control projects.
• Design and specify water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and pumping stations.
• Develop water management plans, including catchment management and water conservation strategies.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for water infrastructure projects.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments related to water resource projects.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, municipalities, and other stakeholders on water-related issues.
