Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a litigation support professional to assist in all phases of the litigation process under attorney supervision. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and coordinating with witnesses and experts to support trial preparation.

Remote work is available (#LI-Remote); relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Compensation ranges from $69,000 to $115,000 annually, with a salary pay type and standard

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience performing legal research, investigations, gathering and summarizing medical records, indexing depositions, preparing exhibits for trial.
• Demonstrated experience preparing pleadings, motions, deposition summaries, discovery responses, and other legal correspondence.
• Solid knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Acrobat).

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage complex pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, deposition summaries, abstracts, legal memoranda, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
• Analyze, organize, and summarize extensive medical records and case-related documents for discovery, strategy, settlement evaluation, and trial prep.
• Coordinate and execute all phases of discovery and case investigation with minimal supervision.
• Communicate with insureds, company representatives, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel; prepare witness materials and trial support documents.
• Support trial prep, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings with exhibits, binders, chronologies, and case summaries.
