Job summary

American Family Insurance Agency Staff is seeking a litigation support professional to assist attorneys through all phases of the litigation process. You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and prepare trial materials under attorney supervision.

Responsibilities include organizing extensive medical records, coordinating discovery plans, and communicating with insureds, witnesses, and opposing counsel while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to court

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing legal research, preparing pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Experience indexing depositions, gathering evidence, and preparing exhibits for trial.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential documents.
• Solid knowledge of tort and contract law and the judicial system.

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage complex pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and deposition summaries under attorney supervision.
• Analyze and summarize extensive medical records and case-related documents to support discovery and trial prep.
• Coordinate all phases of discovery and case investigation with minimal supervision.
• Interviews insureds, company representatives, expert and fact witnesses; prepare witness materials and discovery responses.
• Support trial preparation with exhibits, binders, chronologies, and case summaries.
• Maintain confidential litigation files and ensure calendar compliance with court deadlines.
• Evaluate case files for legal issues and settlement potential; identify additional investigations needed.
• Obtain and analyze medical, employment, financial records; prepare statements of facts and factual summaries.
