Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our Civil Engineering team. This remote/hybrid-friendly role can be performed from a wide range of locations across the U.S. in EST and CT time zones.

Work includes facilities and infrastructure projects in federal, commercial, manufacturing, renewable energy, data centers, microgrids, and public health facilities. A PE license and 3–5 years of stormwater/land development experience are required, with nationwide travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 3–5 years of stormwater and land development experience.
• Mentoring and/or supervisory experience.
• Ability to travel throughout the United States (≈30%).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil design including site layout, utility designs, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Analyze data and review project work products, including technical data, calculations, and reports.
• Participate in client interaction and client management efforts.
• Mentor/lead staff as a civil engineer lead.
• Monitor work output and maintain quality of work product.
• Interpret UFC, stormwater regulations, and zoning/site development rules.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, GeoSTORM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Apply engineering principles to grading, utilities, traffic access, and wetlands impacts.
