Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology organization, overseeing cybersecurity, IT operations, platform delivery, and data governance. The role drives strategic planning, budgets, and regulatory compliance across nationwide programs, including HIPAA and state contracts.

The CIO will manage a diverse team spanning development, QA, DevOps, architecture, cloud, and production support, ensuring secure, reliable systems and actionable analytics for executives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems (master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT or security leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience owning an enterprise cybersecurity program, including frameworks, audits, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Experience with regulated data and compliance requirements such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or NIST; experience in healthcare, Medicaid, or government-funded services strongly preferred.
• Proven track record managing IT operations, help desk teams, vendor contracts, and enterprise system implementations or migrations.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CGEIT preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with executive leaders and translate business goals into practical technology plans.

Responsibilities

• Own cybersecurity strategy, audits, penetration testing, incident response, and access controls.
• Lead IT operations, DevOps, architecture, cloud and infrastructure, cybersecurity, and production support.
• Develop and manage annual IT budget and multi-year technology investment plan.
• Ensure data governance, data quality, retention, access controls, and responsible AI/automation usage.
• Oversee platform development, modernization, integrations, migrations, and state implementations.
