The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Child Welfare Trainer to deliver mandated curricula to county DSS staff statewide. You will guide learning, support performance improvement, and collaborate with trainers to plan and execute events.

The role requires statewide travel and may include a fully remote work option. The position emphasizes policy-aligned instruction and skilled coordination of training logistics.

Qualifications

• Documented experience delivering mandated child welfare curricula to DSS staff.
• Experience facilitating both small and large groups with performance-improvement focus.
• Ability to provide policy guidance and practice-based support to county DSS agencies.
• Proven skill coordinating training logistics, facilities, materials, and communications.
• Experience researching child welfare standards and aligning curricula to policy and practice.

Responsabilités

• Train mandated child welfare curricula for county DSS staff across all program areas.
• Deliver structured learning experiences to promote participant performance improvements.
• Facilitate small and large group learning environments.
• Implement transfer-of-learning strategies to apply content in the field.
• Provide technical assistance and maintain collaborative relationships with county DSS agencies.
• Plan, organize, and communicate logistics before, during, and after training events.
• Ensure training facilities, equipment, materials, and participant resources are prepared.
• Coordinate training center activities with trainers, registrars, and community college staff.
• Complete statewide travel as required to conduct sessions.
