Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts to train and evaluate AI models, applying deep domain knowledge from undergraduate to graduate chemistry topics. This remote hourly contract offers flexible scheduling and meaningful impact, all from home.

You will design advanced chemistry problems, craft step-by-step solutions, and assess AI outputs for accuracy and reasoning, collaborating with researchers across universities and industry.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or in progress in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent, asynchronous work.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced chemistry problems to test AI reasoning across domains (chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, etc.).
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and depth of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to build benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master’s topics.
• Provide structured written feedback to improve AI model performance over time.
