Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) to design advanced problems and benchmark AI systems. This remote hourly contract offers flexibility to work across topics like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry.

You will develop clear, step-by-step solutions, evaluate AI responses for accuracy, and collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks from undergraduate to Master’s level content. No AI experience required beyond chemistry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or in progress in chemistry or related field.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced chemistry problems to benchmark AI performance across topics.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions demonstrating structured reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for correctness and depth of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine evaluation benchmarks across levels.
