Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Chemistry Specialists at Masters/PhD level to design, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems for AI training. This is a fully remote, hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week, ideal for scientists who want flexible, task-based work that leverages deep domain knowledge.

You will work asynchronously with AI researchers, applying organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry expertise, using Python or tools like Gaussian or VASP, and delivering rigorously

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Deep expertise in one or more chemistry subfields — organic, inorganic, physical, or computational.
• Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian or VASP.
• Exceptional written communicator with sharp attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently and asynchronously.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, real-world chemistry problems across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry.
• Solve and critically review advanced chemistry problems to ensure scientific accuracy and depth.
• Apply domain expertise to challenge and improve AI model reasoning.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts.
• Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of scientific rigor, clarity, and relevance.
