Prolific is building the world's largest pool of quality human data for AI. We seek Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate models using real-world chemical expertise.

After a quick test, you may be invited to join Prolific as a paid participant working on AI tasks. You can work from home with flexible hours; testers are paid fairly per hour for tasks that require focused, uninterrupted work.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in lab research, industrial chemical processing, pharma R&D, or academia.
• Deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical, or physical chemistry concepts.
• Safety protocols (SDS), GHS, EPA/REACH/FDA regulatory requirements.
• Ability to spot errors in IUPAC names, stoichiometry, geometry, and thermodynamics.
• Clear, technically accurate communication of complex reactions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated chemistry for accuracy and reasoning.
• Validate reactions, balancing, and viable synthetic routes.
• Audit lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectral data.
• Annotate molecular data and correct SMILES strings.
• Ensure outputs avoid instructions for illicit substances.
