Job summary

Prolific is seeking Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join our Expert Network to train and evaluate AI models using real-world chemical expertise. If successful, you’ll be invited to join Prolific as a participant, with pay up to $60 per hour and flexible hours.

You’ll complete a quick 10–15 minute test to assess your skills. Tasks can be done from home, and researchers often pay up to $60/hour for quality work.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related field.
• Experience in laboratory research, industrial processing, pharma R&D, or academia.
• Deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical chemistry and reaction mechanisms.
• Understand safety protocols (SDS), GHS, EPA/REACH/FDA requirements.
• Ability to identify errors in IUPAC nomenclature, stoichiometry, and molecular data.
• Strong scientific communication and explanation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated chemistry for factual accuracy and rigor.
• Validate reactions, balancing, and viable synthetic routes.
• Audit laboratory protocols, safety summaries, and spectral data.
• Annotate SMILES and molecular representations; correct data.
• Ensure outputs avoid instructions for hazardous or illicit synthesis.
