Job summary

Signifyd is seeking a Chargeback Investigations professional to minimize losses and protect revenue for our merchant customers. You will analyze chargebacks, perform research across multiple processors, and support merchants in claims workflow while adhering to company policies.

This hands-on, data-focused role offers growth, learning, and leadership opportunities in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Fluent in Spanish and English.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in chargeback analysis, fraud prevention, or payment operations within the NA, EMEA or LatAm payments market.
Experience working with payment processors in NA/EMEA/LatAm.
Knowledge of card network regulations (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover) for merchants and consumers.
Strong problem-solving, change management, and analytical skills.
High level of computer proficiency across multiple systems; advanced knowledge of G-Suite and research.
Professional with ability to adapt to a changing, customer-focused environment while following Signifyd’s Security and Privacy policies.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup/xlookup, index/match, macro creation).
Attention to detail and team-player mentality.

Responsibilities

Work independently and with the team to support department goals.
Review, validate, and reconcile chargeback files from multiple processors.
Conduct high-quality research on chargebacks to detect fraud with minimal supervision.
Process merchant reimbursement requests per Signifyd policies.
Minimize losses by accurately determining liability and disputing friendly fraud.
Apply Terms of Service and eligibility rules to claims.
Gather evidence from internal and third-party sources to prove transaction validity.
Assist onboarding of new merchants by reviewing policies and account setups.
Conduct performance reviews of merchant accounts for compliance.
Communicate with customers, banks, processors, and stakeholders to optimize processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Product, Finance).
Complete quality assurance and administrative tasks as processes scale.
