Job summary

micro1 is seeking an Aerodynamics Expert contractor to support an AI training project involving CFD, aerodynamic analysis, and Python scripting. The candidate will develop and validate computational models and CFD workflows, working remotely on a flexible schedule.

Ideal applicants have MS/PhD in aerospace/mechanical engineering or BS with 1–2 years aerodynamics experience, plus strong CFD and Python skills with tools like OpenFOAM/SU2. Global remote opportunity.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS with 1–2 years aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
