Job summary

micro1 is seeking an Aerodynamics Expert contractor for AI training projects involving CFD, aerodynamic analysis, engineering simulations, and Python. Remote, global scope with flexible hours and hourly pay.

The role requires MS/PhD in aerospace/mechanical or BS with 1–2 years aerodynamics experience, strong CFD knowledge, and programming in Python. CLI tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy are preferred. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS + 1–2 years aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
