micro1 is seeking Aerodynamics Experts to support an AI training project involving CFD, aerodynamic analysis, engineering simulations, and Python.

This contractor role is remote, global in scope, with flexible ~15 hrs/week and pay of $80–$130/hour. No prior AI experience is required.

Candidates should have MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Eng or BS + 1–2 years, plus experience with OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy, or equivalent.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS + 1–2 years aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools like OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
