Certified Appraisers located inside the continental United States are encouraged to apply. This role conducts unbiased assessments and prepares property value estimates in line with government, company, and client guidelines.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related experience with a mortgage and/or appraisal company
• REO appraisals HUD/FHA experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Ability to work within varying client-driven deadlines
• Exceptional analytical and narrative writing skills
• Ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions and summarize results
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Fast-paced, accurate environment
• Strong written and verbal communication to diverse audiences including appraisers, vendors and staff
• Good organizational skills with multi-tasking and prioritization
• Active Appraiser license or certification as required by state’s regulatory agency

Responsibilities

• Conducts an unbiased and impartial assessment of market areas, statistics, and other relevant information to develop property value estimates
• Documents on-site assessments with photographs, measurements, similar sales values, and demographic information
• Draws land diagrams and other visual documentation
• Considers factors influencing value including land, neighborhoods, trends, construction and features
• Generates fee quotes
• Presents evaluations and value estimates to buyers, sellers, investors, creditors, agents
• Collaborates with Lead Appraiser to resolve requests and suggest process improvements
• Participates in monthly Appraiser meetings
• Meets department turn-time expectations and escalates if needed
