Job summary
Molecular Devices, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Cellular Workflow Automation Field Applications Scientist. This role is remote-based and covers the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, reporting to the North America Sales and Applications Manager.
Responsibilities include pre-sales and post-sales support for automated cell culture and complex biology platforms, live demos, trainings, and troubleshooting—driving adoption and scientific impact across North America.
Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent discipline.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with laboratory automation, including automated liquid handlers.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with long-term cell culture, including iPSCs.
- Experience with 3D biology, including organoids, spheroids, tumoroids preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales application support for automated cell culture platforms, including live demonstrations and trainings.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and assist with onboarding and optimization.
- Travel up to 75% to cover Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions; home-based in the Greater Boston area; report to North America Sales and Applications Manager.
