Job summary

Jobot is seeking a REMOTE CDI Specialist III to join our healthcare team. You will review medical records, ensure accurate documentation of illness severity and treatments, and collaborate with clinicians and coders to maximize reimbursement and care quality.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Information Management, RN or CCS preferred, and at least five years of clinical experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Information Management.
• RN or CCS credential preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in medical, surgical, trauma, surgery, or ED.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive reviews of patient records to capture illness severity and risk of mortality.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and coders for accurate documentation.
• Provide education and training to clinicians on documentation importance.
• Conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to development and implementation of CDI policies and strategies.
• Work with the coding team to resolve discrepancies in medical coding.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
