Job summary

Jobot seeks a Clinical Document Specialist III to lead our CDI team within a large hospital network. The role requires deep CMS and CCDS expertise, nursing leadership, and a strong focus on documentation quality across departments.

You will mentor staff, perform audits, and coordinate with emergency, surgical, ICU, and post-acute units to ensure compliant, accurate patient records. This remote-friendly position offers relocation support and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years acute care nursing with medical/surgical, ICU, post-acute, or ED experience.
• At least 2 years as Clinical Documentation Specialist.
• RN/NP/PA licensure.
• Experience leading a CDI team in healthcare.
• Extensive CMS and CCDS knowledge.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with healthcare information systems.
• CCDI certification or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CDI team to ensure high-quality documentation of clinical care.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Provide guidance and training on clinical documentation standards and best practices.
