Job summary

e4health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Consultant to review patient records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring severity and complexity are reflected. You will educate and collaborate with providers to improve documentation quality and compliance.

Remote, nationwide role with benefits. Requirements include 3+ years in CDI, active RN license, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; 32+ hours/week. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical documentation experience.
• Current RN license.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate records.
• Proficient with PC-based medical record review and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and clients.
• Comfort with AI tools and working on a Mac.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews to identify documentation opportunities.
• Collaborate with providers and coders to ensure accurate documentation.
• Follow customer procedures and review records for diagnoses and procedures.
• Initiate and complete queries to reflect accurate inpatient/outpatient data.
• Adhere to guidelines from ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
• Understand DRG payer issues, audit risks, and hierarchical condition categories.
• Work with clients and team to meet assignment needs.
• Utilize client-specific computer software as required.
