Job summary

JLL is seeking a Category Manager - Hard Services to develop and manage technical categories (MEP, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and drive value for clients. You will build strategies, leverage scale, and foster strategic supplier relationships while ensuring governance and compliance across projects.

You will lead sourcing events, contract analyses, and savings reporting, partnering with stakeholders to deliver measurable cost and performance improvements for internal and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years procurement-related category management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong analytical ability.
• Ability to work regionally and across time zones.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to develop strategic supplier relationships with senior leadership.
• Collaborative, influencing style focused on teamwork.
• Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments.
• Expertise in sourcing with change management experience.
• Ability to sell and present new ideas and initiatives.
• Experience sourcing indirect corporate services and products.
• Excellent PC skills and ability to work with large data and build reports.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
• Ability to partner with the senior leadership and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy and manage performance across related activities.
• Deliver financial targets and drive category opportunity and savings.
• Create strategic solutions for commodity requirements and manage bids.
• Use data analytics to assess needs and inform strategy.
• Rationalize supply base and maintain senior supplier relationships.
• Identify new suppliers using market intelligence and data.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Lead supplier relationship management and performance reviews.
• Provide policy guidance and ensure compliant procurement processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
