Job summary

JLL seeks a Category Manager, Construction Services to lead central management of FF&E and Moving spend, shaping category strategies and supplier relations across the Americas. You will drive cost efficiencies, negotiate contracts, and align with PDS Sourcing & Procurement to support global category processes.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS and 5+ years in procurement with construction category experience; MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of procurement-related experience
• Construction category experience a plus
• MBA a plus
• Expertise in contracts and contract language with ability to negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing
• Subject matter expert for assigned building and construction categories
• Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, both oral and written
• Ability to work across time zones and regional scales

Responsibilities

• Develop and regularly maintain category strategies aligned with business objectives
• Deliver category performance and financial targets
• Negotiate and implement contracting strategies
• Create supplier collaborations and strategic SRM
• Rationalize the supply base and manage supplier relationships
• Utilize data analytics to inform strategy and risk management
• Support PDS Sourcing & Procurement initiatives and training
