Qualifications

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience
• 2 years of claims experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Ability to successfully complete training courses pertinent to job duties.
• Developing understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Developing understanding of AAA claims policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Working in a virtual environment (with option to work in an office setting).
• Handle mostly simple to moderate first and third party auto liability cases involving injury with unrepresented and attorney-represented claimants.
• May handle first party Medical payment and PIP.
• Assist in catastrophes related activities including handling simple homeowner losses.
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers as to proper course of action.
• Investigate, negotiate, settle and resolve injury claims under $50,000 exposure.
• Manage productivity by seeking claim assignments through queues in the claim system.
• Present cases in Committee and negotiate settlement up to authority.
