Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Casualty Evaluator to manage first- and third-party auto liability and homeowners-related claims with exposure up to $50,000. The role supports virtual work with occasional office presence and spans multiple states with occasional travel.

You’ll investigate, negotiate and settle cases, determine coverage, and communicate clearly with claimants. A strong customer service mindset and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills; ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle assigned auto liability and homeowner-related claims with exposure under $50,000.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle claims in multiple states in a virtual or office setting.
• Provide coverage determinations and guidance on policy matters.
• Communicate with claimants via written, phone and electronic channels.
• Support subrogation efforts and coordinate with teams during catastrophes.
