Job summary

Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd. seeks a Manager for its Client Advisory Services (CAS) team in the Twin Cities region. You will lead client relationships, coordinate delivery, and own the full lifecycle of engagements, including staffing, budgeting, and risk management.

The role offers a flexible work arrangement with remote options and opportunities to visit client sites and participate in in-office training to foster leadership development. CPA preferred; 7+ years CAS or related experience required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting; 7+ years CAS experience preferred.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Experience with CAS, accounting, controllership, or client advisory.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting systems (QB Online, Bill.com, Sage Intacct, MS Office).
• Advanced Excel/Power BI or reporting tools a plus.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned CAS clients, including routine communication and issue resolution.
• Plan, assign, and oversee client work across the team to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee CAS Accountants and Senior Accountants to ensure client expectations are met.
• Maintain client relationships, coordinate internal resources, and elevate strategic matters to leadership.
• Coach and develop Senior Accountants and Accountants for consistent CAS processes and deliverables.
• Escalate staffing, pricing, or risk issues with clear recommendations.
• Participate in business development activities and client expansion discussions.
• Protect confidential client information and ensure proper use of systems.
