Job summary

Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd. seeks a CAS Manager to lead client advisory services, manage client relationships, and coordinate delivery across a growing team in the Twin Cities area. This role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and strategic collaboration with the Department Head.

You will oversee accounting and payroll components, ensure quality control, and drive best practices across CAS. Strong CPA and GAAP knowledge are valued, with flexibility to work remotely and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting; 7+ years CAS experience preferred.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with cloud accounting systems (QB Online, Bill.com, Sage Intacct).
• Experience with Excel advanced functions, Power Query, Power BI or similar tools.
• Curiosity for AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics to improve client service.
• Strong organization, time-management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full life cycle of CAS client relationships and service delivery.
• Oversee work of CAS Accountants and Senior Accountants to meet client expectations and budgets.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate internal resources across CAS.
• Escalate strategic, staffing, pricing, or risk issues to leaders as needed.
• Participate in business development activities and client expansion discussions.
• Promote secure handling of confidential information and compliant processes.
