Job summary

The Canada Homestay Network Society is hiring a Care & Support Representative to join our remote, Canada-wide team. You will support international students and host families, manage inquiries, and coordinate with agencies to ensure high-quality care.

This fixed-term contract offers 30-40 hours per week, with scheduling between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST, Mon-Fri. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience. Remote onboarding and collaboration across Canada are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Customer Service experience
• Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in a relevant discipline preferred
• Experience working with international students and diverse cultures preferred
• Excellent Word, Excel, Email, and Database skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to de-escalate challenging interactions
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and as part of a team
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful and effective client care through understanding unique needs
• Uphold high levels of customer service by being flexible, attentive, reliable and responsive
• Take ownership over the customer experience and provide thorough follow-up
• Communicate and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, students, agents, and hosts
• Engage with colleagues, host families, and students to monitor, manage, and close homestay inquiries and requests
• Escalate crisis situations in a prompt and caring manner to leadership and/or third-party services
• Collaborate with colleagues for second opinion and support in a teamwork-focused culture
