General Medicine is a digital healthcare company delivering accessible care to patients remotely. The Care Coordinator role focuses on empathy, clear communication, and simplifying the patient journey across our internal tools.

You will manage appointment scheduling, inbound/outbound calls, and care documentation in electronic medical records, while supporting clinicians and ensuring HIPAA compliance in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in a health care-based patient service role using multiple software systems.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets, and calendaring.
• Ability to multitask and navigate ambiguity in a virtual environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a virtual environment.
• Knowledge of medical record management and healthcare billing practices.
• Reliable broadband home internet connection.

Responsabilités

• Appointment scheduling, notification, reminders, and troubleshooting.
• Receive inbound calls and place outbound calls from/to patients, provider offices, insurance companies, labs and others involved in patient care.
• Prepare, organize, submit and manage care documentation in electronic medical records systems and other internal tools.
• Support clinician team with a proactive mindset and high attention to detail.
• Support patients' health with empathy, clear communication and seamless transitions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintain patient information confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver a delightful patient experience.
• Be self-motivated and organized with excellent follow up and follow through on tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
