Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
• Typically two plus years of sales or clinical support experience in a healthcare-related setting.
• Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
• Ability to work with and direct others effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Abbott medical devices to physicians, laboratories, distributors, and hospitals within an assigned territory.
• Build and execute business plans to identify, target, and develop new accounts.
• Provide information and training to medical professionals on product use, including staff education and in-services.
• Manage territory inventory and administrative sales duties (expense reports, scheduling, travel).
• Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase products and discuss developments.
• Stay current on developments in relevant fields and resolve problems to prevent recurrence.
