Job summary

Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare leader, seeks a Medical Device Sales Representative for field-based promotion of Abbott medical devices to physicians, laboratories, distributors, and hospitals in NW Illinois and NW Indiana. This role focuses on Cardiac Rhythm Management and growing product lines through strong customer relationships.

You will educate clinicians, develop business plans with management, provide product training, manage territory inventory, and participate in trade shows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2+ years of sales or clinical support experience in healthcare.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
• Proven ability to influence customers in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact, visit, and educate clients on Abbott products; address questions and concerns.
• Build and execute business plans to identify and develop new accounts.
• Provide clinicians with information and training on device use, including staff education and in-services.
• Ensure pertinent patient information is forwarded when required; manage inventory in territory.
• Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and perform administrative duties (expense reports, travel plans).
• Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase products and discuss new developments.
