Job summary

The Chemours Company is hiring a Project Manager to lead large and small capital projects across Chemours sites worldwide. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects and may be based at various locations, with proximity to Wilmington, Delaware or Philadelphia, PA for collaboration.

You will plan, lead, and manage all activities from FEL through Start-Up, coordinating with stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum of 3 years working with a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with field construction or contract management.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing capital projects in the $1M - $20M.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to execute smaller, less complex projects with limited engagement of supporting resources.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead by influence.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Experience in working with engineering/design contractors.
• Experience using project scheduling software.
• Smart engineering/design tools knowledge.
• Fluent use of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and secure staffing to meet project objectives.
• Ensure all project team members understand roles and responsibilities.
• Establish effective communications with the project team and stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading process and develop project scope, estimates, funding requests, and schedules.
• Proactively drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion and quality.
• Manage changes in project scope and control costs.
• Drive capital project work processes as per the Chemours Project System.
• Lead risk identification/mitigation and problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure design standards with internal/external resources are followed.
