Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead large and small capital projects across sites worldwide, reporting to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and innovation and offers remote work options with proximity to headquarters in the Wilmington, Delaware or Philadelphia area.

You will manage scope, cost, schedule, and contractor oversight from FEL through start-up, collaborating with global teams, and traveling up to 40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years working with a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with field construction or contract management.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing capital projects in the $1M-$20M range.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with engineering/design contractors and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and work with resource managers to secure staffing.
• Ensure all team members understand and are held accountable for their roles and deliverables.
• Establish effective communications with the project team and stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading, including scopes of work, estimates, funding requests, and schedules.
• Proactively drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion and quality.
• Manage changes in scope and control costs within budgets.
• Drive project processes and risk identification/mitigation throughout the project life.
• Ensure design standards are followed with internal and external resources.
