Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator for a remote US role. This hybrid opportunity may be based in Wilmington, DE, or other plant sites, with travel to multiple locations as needed.

You will develop estimates across project life cycles and support risk input while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have extensive estimating experience in petrochemical or heavy industrial sectors, proficiency with Aspen tools, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to influence people at all levels within and outside Chemours.
• Based in Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones with ability to travel to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates meet industry quality requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads and discusses estimate impacts on the risk process.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge performance.
