Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is hiring a Remote Baker to produce a wide variety of bakery goods in a remote Alaska camp. You will assist with preparation, production, and presentation of foods, complete production sheets, and train food service staff.

Responsibilities include supervising shifts, maintaining sanitation standards, and collaborating on menu and recipe development. This role requires endurance for long shifts and strong teamwork in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of baking experience in high volume production.
• Ability to instruct and train others and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have or obtain Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including background and UA drug test.
• Team player who can cooperate with staff, customers and clients.
• Must stand for 12 hours per shift and live in remote camp dormitory housing.
• Contract requires English reading, writing and speaking abilities.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line food production duties as assigned by shift.
• Prepare and produce bakery items, including pastry prep, baking and frying as needed.
• Review daily needs with supervisors, complete production sheets, verify supplies.
• Assist with menu and recipe development and supervise staff when required.
• Monitor and replenish production items using proper rotation.
• Cook breakfast, lunch or dinner items and assemble trays and salads.
• Prepare and present bakery items and maintain production sheets.
• Ensure proper setup, stocking, cleaning and sanitation of work areas.
