Remote - Call Center Customer Service Representative
Medicaid Member Support – Tier 1
For The State of Iowa

Note: You need to reside in the State of Iowa to be eligible, and within an hour of Des Moines, Iowa.

$18.00/hour

Paid training provided.

Equipment will be provided from the Des Moines, IA office — pickup required from the location.

This is a full-time position with full benefits.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the initial contact for inquiries from Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates.
  • Provide one-on-one telephone support to applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees.
  • Document enrollment requests and status updates accurately.
  • Input application and enrollment data into a web-based system for telephone applications.
  • Maintain proficiency in Iowa Family Care rules, guidelines, and related policies.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and objective information based on program requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in a call center customer service environment and quality monitoring processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills through analysis and feedback.
  • Knowledge, empathy, and commitment to results.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Background check required.
  • Reside within 1 hour of Des Moines, IA.

  • Ability to adhere to schedules and navigate computer systems efficiently.
  • Understanding and utilization of policies.
  • Reliable internet access.
