Job summary

CAPPS LLC is seeking a Litigation Assistant to support hearings and trial preparation for our California attorneys. The role involves managing files, preparing pleadings, and coordinating with court staff in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and experience with California litigation, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position offers a full-time remote schedule with day-hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with a preference for some college education and/or paralegal studies.
• Experience with California litigation from employment with a law firm or Court.
• Experience in the Microsoft Suite of products is required.

Responsibilities

• Updates electronic files.
• Handles phone calls to and from Court staff.
• Assists with preparation of documents to be filed for hearings and trial folders.
• Assists with preparation of pleadings and correspondence.
• Processes mail daily and ensures all information received is updated properly in the Firm's file system.
• Scans, copies, prints, and redacts legal documents.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
