Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Deputy CAD Administrator to support and advance our CAD environment. You will enforce standards, assist users, and help drive scalable CAD processes across multiple disciplines.

The role reports to the CAD Administrator and offers hybrid/remote work, with opportunities to lead training, tool evaluation, and workflow improvements for project delivery and growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of CAD experience in a professional environment.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX and/or ProjectWise; AutoCAD/BIM tools a plus.
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support quality control reviews for deliverables.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshoot issues.
• Onboard new employees by setting up CAD profiles, permissions, and tools.
• Develop and deliver CAD training materials and sessions.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and license coordination.
• Coordinate file management, project setup, and directory structures with IT and PMs.
• Assist with client Workspace deployment and enhancements.
• Evaluate new CAD tools, plugins, and workflows for efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering/design/project teams to resolve CAD challenges.
• Support cross-discipline data exchange between CAD platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and standardization.
