Remote, ~15 hours/week, global scope. Ideal candidates bring strong CAD experience, Python scripting, and familiarity with tools like FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, or CadQuery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with CAD and mechanical design.
• Good Python and 3D spatial reasoning skills.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and validating CAD models.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, CadQuery, or similar tools is a plus.
• No specific degree or years of experience required. Practical expertise and relevant experience are valued.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and create accurate 3D CAD models.
• Develop complex mechanical geometry using CAD tools.
• Use Python for CAD automation and programmatic modeling.
• Export and validate STEP and other solid-model formats.
• Verify dimensions, geometry, topology, and physical properties.
• Troubleshoot and refine CAD models for accuracy.
