Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Hardware Expert with strong CAD, mechanical design, Python, and computational geometry to support an AI training project involving precise 3D modeling and technical drawings.

This remote contractor role offers a flexible schedule with roughly 15 hours per week and requires hands-on experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CadQuery to produce accurate models and export STEP files.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with CAD and mechanical design.
• Good Python and 3D spatial reasoning skills.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and validating CAD models.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, CadQuery, or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and create accurate 3D CAD models.
• Develop complex mechanical geometry using CAD tools.
• Use Python for CAD automation and programmatic modeling.
• Export and validate STEP and other solid-model formats.
• Verify dimensions, geometry, topology, and physical properties.
• Troubleshoot and refine CAD models for accuracy.
