Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Hardware Expert with strong CAD and mechanical design skills to support an AI training project. The role involves interpreting drawings, creating accurate 3D models, and using Python for CAD automation.

Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D geometry, with experience in FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape or CadQuery. This contractor role is remote with flexible hours (~15 per week).

Qualifications

• Strong CAD and mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in Python for CAD automation.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and validating CAD models.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and create accurate 3D CAD models.
• Develop complex mechanical geometry using CAD tools.
• Use Python for CAD automation and programmatic modeling.
• Export and validate STEP and other solid-model formats.
• Verify dimensions, geometry, topology, and physical properties.
• Troubleshoot and refine CAD models for accuracy.
