Sedgwick is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner for remote work in California. You will analyze complex California workers' compensation claims, determine benefits, and manage exposure through investigation and negotiation.

The role covers high-exposure claims, settlements, and litigation coordination with clients and carriers. Ideal candidate has 4+ years of California WC claims experience, strong adjudication skills, and familiarity with state filings.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of California jurisdictional requirements and claims adjudication processes.
• Experience handling litigated and high-exposure claims.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex California workers' compensation claims, investigates information, and determines exposure.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority and reserves claims appropriately.
• Calculates and pays benefits, approves timely claim payments and adjustments.
• Manages litigation process and state filings within statutory limits; coordinates with carriers.
